Designed for the live stage, the Maton Performer is the perfect companion for the gigging musician. It is the same overall size as the 808 series guitars but with less depth to the body format. The thinner body leaves you closer to the microphone and nearer the action without having a large guitar to lean over, it is incredibly comfortable to hold and play for hours on end.

The Maton Performer features a Solid Bunya top, solid Queensland Maple back and sides. Bunya has an earthy, evocative tone, a change from conventional spruce- but with the volume, tone and beauty to stand up in its own right. Bunya is also a sustainable guitar making soundboard, reaching maturity in 80 years. Compare that to the 300 plus years it takes to grow Spruce. Combine this with the clarity and evenness of response of the Queensland Maple and you have a high spec performance guitar designed for the stage. Comfort and playability are the keys to this purpose built acoustic guitar series.

The back, sides and top are finished in satin that has a base coat of polyester that is UV-cured and sanded level. The timber is protected with no restriction to the natural tonal resonance of the instrument.

An on-board AP5 pickup system delivers all the great plugged-in tone that Matons are famous. On board tonal controls allow further tonal refinement.
