Set Neck Construction

The Yorktown is all about big and bold tone. To fully maximize the Spruce top, Maple back and sides and the hard rock Maple neck, Cort’s craftsmen have carefully set this neck into the body using a classic dovetail joint. This delivers enhanced sustain and tone.

Tune-O-Matic Bridge with Harp Tailpiece

The Yorktown is equipped with a floating tune-o-matic bridge for fine-tuning and perfect intonation needed for playing complex chords all over the neck. The tailpiece is a classic harp-style which imparts class and elegance while providing tuning functionality and stability.

Voiced Tone VTH-59 Pickups

To maximize the big bold sound of the Yorktown, Cort equipped it with two Voiced Tone VTH-59 pickups. Each humbucker is overwound for a little hotter performance than a typical PAF pickup.
