The mellow tones of a Concert Uke, with the resonance of a banjo. What a combination!

The Barnes and Mullins UBJ1 Banjo-lele is a cheeky and charming little thing. Made in the tradition of many banjo-ukes before it, the UBJ1 is scaled and strung as a Concert Ukulele.

The Banjolele had its heyday in the 1920s but was further popularised during the 1940s and 50s by British entertainer George Formby, who was seldom seen without his trusty ukulele banjo. However, even the Beatles' George Harrison used the banjo-lele on a number of recordings later in his career.

Just like its larger banjo siblings, the UBJ1 has a mahogany resonator, rim and neck and a Remo weatherking head.
